What cybersecurity threats do you see as the most pressing?

This is absolute heresy and nonsense. We are very much bothered by companies, some legal structures, mainly law firms, etc. An official letter comes with a lot of evidence and a demand to block this or that resource, because it violates the copyright of a certain copyright holder. For example, a law firm writes to us that it represents the interests of the copyright holder of a brand of power tools, and we host a company that sells a wide range of electric drills on the Internet, while not having a license agreement with them for the use of this particular brand.

According to those who contact us, we, as a market participant and as a "digital intermediary", are obliged to stop hosting this site, since they (the lawyers) allegedly did not give any permission to use the brand of their client. In addition to direct appeals, we are often involved as a third party in such legal proceedings. This takes a lot of time and effort.

For example, I received an email request from an v address demanding that I terminate the contractual relationship with my client who hosts his website with me. At the same time, I am not an expert in copyright. I cannot say whether my client is violating anything or not. He regularly pays for hosting, i.e. fulfills his contractual obligations. And my company charter does not stipulate that I should analyze copyrights. And the law does not oblige me to do this either.

We provide a virtual machine, a computer, where the client places his own information. We have nothing to do with the content of the site. Now, in all such cases, I recommend going to court or resolving issues with potential violators directly. And these legal structures demand blocking until a court decision, i.e. they want to simplify their work. For some reason, we have historically been drawn to resolve conflicts "out of court". But it is much more reliable to build civilized relations with independent courts and the execution of their decisions.
