User experience (UX)

Post by nurnobi22 »

Have you ever stopped to think about why you like that website or app so much? It may be because of the design, the ease or comfort of navigation and use, the speed with which you find what you are looking for... It may be for various reasons, but surely all of them are integrated within the concept of user experience , also known by its initials in English, UX ( U ser e X perience).

UX User Experience

User experience has become a fundamental pillar for the success of companies. It is the set of sensations, emotions and perceptions about a company's product or service, as well as the activities or processes that have to do with it and the relationship that the customer establishes with the brand.

UX is usually related to technological aspects , whether through a website, a computer, a smartphone or some software. That is why it is a field in constant change, due to rapid technological advances and the ways of relating to users.

In this sense, users are increasingly looking for faster and simpler ways to satisfy their needs. At the same time, there is an increasing level of interaction between customers and companies or brands, either to highlight the benefits of a product or service or to express a negative experience with it.

Whatever industry you're in, if your customers don't find your website or app useful and easy to use, they'll likely lose interest in your brand in a matter of seconds, in favor of a competitor.

Elements of user experience
User experience has five basic pillars : usability, accessibility, functionality, innovation and design-navigation.

Usability is the ease with which a user uses a website, application, product or service of a brand . It is about the user being able to interact intuitively, quickly and easily, without the need for explanations or much exploration.

Accessibility refers to the user's ability to contact the brand, whether thailand telegram viral physically, by phone or digitally. It is important to take into account whether the user is trying to contact the brand from a device, what type of device it is, and to consider the possibility that the user may have some type of functional diversity or other impediments .

s for functionality , it refers to the correct technical functioning of the website, app, product or service. In the digital environment in particular, loading speed or payment methods, among others, are of great importance.

The concept of innovation is about the company's ability to provide solutions to customer needs through new ideas and technological advances, with the Internet as a great vehicle for all of this.

Design and navigation are related to the brand identity: logo, slogan, typography, color palette and graphic elements are some of the most relevant elements to take into account in terms of design, while the architecture of the website or app and the distribution of elements and spaces would be the main aspects of navigation.

User Experience (UX) vs. User Interface (UI)
The concepts of user experience and user interface are often confused. UX focuses on a user’s journey through a website, application or process. UI, meanwhile, refers to how the outer part of a product or process works and looks – the most external or “tangible” part.

They are defined in a similar way, but they have their differences. We could say that UI focuses on the appearance and superficial aspect of the website/app/product/service, while UX deals with the forms of interaction between these and the user.

UX Research and Strategy
To develop and enhance the user experience, a UX strategy must be developed , focusing on user-centered design, considering the needs of the people to whom the brand in question is directed. In this way, solutions can be created for the problems that arise, different options can be tested and those that work best can be implemented.

First, a UX research and analysis must be carried out , without which it would be impossible to develop the UX strategy. It basically consists of analysing users and knowing what their needs are. This can be done through different methods, mainly usability tests, for which there are many tools.

Improve user experience

User experience can be improved by using the UX research and strategy mentioned above. The most common approaches are usually implementing calls to action (CTAs), asking users themselves what aspects they think could be improved, implementing responsive web design, or aspects related to Fitts' Law.

Fitts' Law states that the time required for a user to move their cursor to a target area within a website is directly proportional to the distance to it and inversely proportional to the size of the object. It can improve usability and ergonomics.

To improve UX on a website , it is necessary to verify that it is useful, intuitive, that all pages and their areas are consistent with each other, that the website is accessible and that it is attractive.

In conclusion
Word of mouth is also very important, which in the digital ecosystem translates into comments on social media and the action of sharing content with others. Therefore, it is essential to put the customer at the center and provide them with the best possible user experience.

We are in the era of globalization. In a time where we are just a click away from knowing thousands of brands or being able to buy products or services from any company anywhere in the world in just a few seconds.

In this context, customer loyalty has become increasingly volatile, as it is at the same distance from a multitude of companies that offer the same product or service or from one that, being different, meets the same needs. Therefore, it becomes a necessity for companies to take care of their users' experience.

In conclusion, since a company's profitability is closely related to user experience, it is worth paying attention to it and taking the utmost care of it.
