Rosatom is negotiating the purchase of a stake in the developer of information security tools, Security Code.

In the current conditions, it is advantageous for a state corporation to have its own player so as not to share sensitive data with third parties.

Rusatom — Digital Solutions, colombia cell phone number list a subsidiary of the state corporation Rosatom, is negotiating the purchase of a stake in the company Security Code. Several sources in the IT market told RBC about this, and a source close to the negotiations confirmed it. The talk is "about a partnership on an equal footing," he noted.

According to him, more than 100 enterprises in the nuclear industry already use Security Code products on a regular basis: "The acquisition of a stake in this company will not only increase the controllability of the protection of the information infrastructure of the Russian nuclear industry, but also realize synergies by combining the technologies and products of industry enterprises with Security Code products as part of a comprehensive offer for Russian and foreign clients."

According to several sources, Rosatom expressed interest in buying the company back in 2021, but the company's current owners were hoping to find a bidder with a higher price offer. The negotiations have intensified due to changes in the market situation that followed the start of the special military operation in Ukraine, one of RBC's sources noted. Another source noted that information security is critically important for Rosatom's core business, which is why the state corporation has recently shown interest in diversification and the technology sector. He did not rule out that Rosatom would try to consolidate several players in the field of information security.

Rosatom and a representative of Philippe Gens (the main owner of Security Code) declined to comment.
