As mentioned above, there are two types of bounce emails, and the reasons for their occurrence vary.
Let's take a closer look at the causes of bounce emails.

What causes a soft bounce?
First, let's explain what causes a soft bounce.

The recipient's mailbox was full
If the destination mailbox is full, the email will be mail marketing to doctors treated as a soft bounce.
If there is space available, you will be able to send the email again.

Email size is too large
If the email you send is too large, the recipient will not be able to receive it. In this case, it will be called a soft bounce.

What causes a hard bounce?
Next, we'll explain what causes a hard bounce.

Email address does not exist
This is one of the most common bounce emails. If the email address is incorrect or does not exist, the email will not be delivered even after waiting for a while, so it will be called a hard bounce.

DNS Error
This occurs when the sending server cannot find the correct receiving mail server from the DNS server. If the domain of the registered email address is incorrect or the DNS settings themselves are incorrect, the destination cannot be found and a hard bounce occurs.

There are many other reasons, but the majority of bounced emails are caused by the reasons mentioned above. So, how should you deal with these bounced emails?

The impact of ignoring bounced emails on delivery

So far, we have explained the causes of bounced emails and countermeasures, but why do we need to take measures against bounced emails in the first place? Some of you reading this column may be sending emails over and over again that are returning with an error. We will explain three effects that leaving bounced emails unattended can have on delivery.

Reception is rejected and necessary information is not delivered.
If you continue to send an email that has returned with an error, the receiving server may mistakenly recognize it as spam and reject the connection to the server. If the connection to the server is rejected, not only will email delivery be significantly delayed, but necessary information will not be delivered properly. Please be careful as this could cause problems with important communications and business.
