Enter the name of your printer in the Value data field and click OK. Then restart your computer before trying to set the printer as the default again.
Note: Before making any changes, be sure to back up your registry. Making changes to the registry without proper knowledge can cause serious problems and even disable your computer.
Fix 7: Grant the required permissions to the user
Your user account may not have the necessary permissions to configure the printer. So, you need to grant these permissions before you can do this.
Open Registry Editor and navigate to the following algeria mobile database directory: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows.
Right-click on the Windows directory on the left and select Permissions.
In the Permissions dialog box, make sure that the SYSTEM and Administrator accounts have Full Control. If they don't, click the Allow check boxes for Full Control for both accounts. You may need to manually add the accounts if they're missing.
Save your changes and close the Registry Editor before trying to add the printer again. If the error persists, grant Full Control permission to the Everyone user account as well, and then try again.
