Difficulties in data protection

The problem is that multicloud environments often have inconsistent, poorly managed policy enforcement mechanisms, Westervelt said. Often, the policy controls that enterprises use were built for their own data centers and are now being expanded, causing problems. In many cases, these problems lead to technology changes.

61% of organizations surveyed by IDC reported that they had changed their data security technologies or policies at least once as a result of their move to the cloud. Reasons cited included gaps in cloud platforms and disconnects between functions, compliance, and data quality.

Westervelt believes the industry needs more interoperability in data protection and automated controls that are added when data is loaded or exchanged. In general, shared telemetry across technologies is needed to prevent inconsistency and reduce data complexity.

At the end of the meeting, IDC analysts were asked why israel whatsapp data were few truly new products at this year’s RSA conference. Frank Dixon, vice president of security research at IDC, recalled that numerous innovations have already emerged since the major data breach at Target in late 2013. “We haven’t seen any big, bold solutions here and now, but the technology is getting more sophisticated,” he said. “There’s no need for something completely new, just better products.”
