Game clients like Steam require real-time data from your system to function, and incorrect date and time settings can prevent this from happening. To update your system's date and time,
Open the Settings app and tap on the Time & Language option on the left.
On the Date & Time page, click the Set time automatically button to enable this feature. If it is already on, turn it off and then on again.
Restart your computer and try opening Steam again.
