Let's take an example: the user is purchasing from e-commerce, at the moment of completing the purchase he will not have to tick any general consent to be subscribed to the newsletter.

The famous "I accept the information" in this case is useless, because by purchasing a service or a good I fulfill a contract:

if the company has to send me a good to my home, I have to enter chinese overseas america data my information and for this reason the company is not obliged to ask for any consent
However, if you want to use that data to send specific sales communications based on the data provided by the user/collected, then you must request specific consent for this.

Special case: when GDPR consent is not required newsletter
There is, however, an exception to the request for consent. If the user has purchased from your e-commerce and after the purchase you want to send the customer commercial newsletters relating to the same shop, the same products, the same commercial category or similar products, then you do not have to request any consent.
