US Elections and Social Media – Unlike Facebook and Twitter , YouTube underestimated the wave of Fake news about the elections. Facebook has a specific metric for “violence and incitement to violence” that has increased sharply this week. The social network also announced the closure of the pro-Trump group “Stop the Steal” whose membership has exploded in recent days . Twitter flagged 38% of Trump’s tweets as “misleading” while fake accounts pretending to be media outlets claimed his victory.
