Step 4: Before starting work

If you receive a formal paper offer, it means you have to read endless English documents... The contract alone is more than 40 pages of A4, and you also have to fill out endless English documents, such as applying for a visa, applying for entry, applying for a health check, arranging screening, etc.

However, since all of this happened via correspondence, there was still time to look up words in the dictionary if there were any that I didn't understand, so overall it wasn't too difficult, it just took time.

Step 5: Finally start working

To be honest, after the English interview, I am now somewhat confident in my English ability. After all, at least I could understand the questions asked by the interviewer and answer them. And judging from the other party's reaction and results, the content of my answers should be okay.

For a "typical" Taiwanese, the thing they are best at is probably English reading. After all, they have memorized a lot of words and grammar since childhood, so no matter how many English emails, documents, and announcements there are within the company, they are usually not stumped; if they really encounter new words, they can still look them up in the dictionary.
