Real Minero is known traditionally as a mezcal, but it does not use the word on its bottles or marketing materials. Instead, Real Minero is branded as “agave spirits,” though it is manufactured the same way as it was when they called it a mezcal.

At more than $180 per bottle, Real Minero is one of the most expensive mezcal-like drinks out there, and aficionados say it is well worth the premium price.
