At the end of 2022, HR holding Ventra conducted a study among clients and candidates about what the future of the labor market (work) awaits us. The study involved 350+ respondents from all federal districts of Russia: Central Federal District 48%, Western Federal District 16%, Volga Federal District 14%, Siberian Federal District 5%, Southern Federal District 9%, Far Eastern Federal District and Ural Federal District 1% each, and 4% of respondents living outside Russia.

71% of respondents to Ventra's survey said they are interested in the future of work because they are considering changing careers, 16% said they are interested in the future of work because they have children or relatives who are starting a career, and 8% of respondents are interested in the future of work because they are at the beginning of their own career path. Only 5% of respondents said they are not very interested in the future of work.
Which industry (direction) do you consider the most promising for development in the future?
The majority of respondents (24%) believe that the most promising industry for development is IT and telecom, followed by Medicine and Pharmaceuticals (13%), production and sale of consumer goods (9%), Electronics and Electrical Engineering (8%), and other industries, which received less than 6% of responses.
The majority of respondents (25%) named education in the field of IT as the most in-demand education , 21% engineering and technical education, 13% medicine and pharmaceuticals, 9% economics, business, management, 7% psychology and pedagogy, and the remaining types of education scored less than 6% each.
