The title lead faction

Post by asimd23 »

With the invention of commuter newspapers, texts became shorter. This had the positive side effect that young people became increasingly interested in news from home and abroad. With the invention of smartphones, texts did not become any shorter. Nevertheless, reading habits changed. Push notifications, which arrive uk rcs data almost every ten minutes depending on the channels subscribed to, certainly contributed to this. Since you can't read everything, you often just skim through it.

I've noticed for a while now that many people only read the title and the lead on news portals. That's a good thing if you just want to get a quick overview. I find it worrying when these "snackers" fill the comment columns. It's not uncommon for the opinion expressed to later turn out to be wrong (or unnecessary) - just because the entire text wasn't read.

Would you like some examples? Under the title "Paraglider lands in Lake Lucerne," someone writes on a news portal: "Looks like a parachute to me, not a paraglider." The answer comes from another reader: "Neither. What you see is an emergency parachute.
