Why Polish design?

Post by sumaiyakhatun26 »

Artur: The genesis of your business is that in your work as a designer, you often used furniture from Polish manufacturers. I understand, of course, that your client is the type of client who has to be able to afford something like that. But where did the idea and conviction come from that this particular Polish design, in such a very specific style, is exactly what the market needs? Why, as a client, should I decide on Polish design? How do you argue that Polish is better than the popular Scandinavian style or the New York School or other similar styles?

Krystyna: I have always, from the very beginning, thought like an interior designer. I followed the idea that there are clients who want something exceptional. I was sick and tired of doing projects using Ikea furniture. Of course, japan rcs data this is a company that prepares inspirations in an extremely interesting way and has super cool products, but the quality of their products leaves much to be desired. These are often products that are short-lived and deteriorate very quickly. That is why I was looking for something nice, designer, interesting, but also at a reasonable price.

The truth is that at that time, as clients decorating interiors, we had a choice of either something cheap, nice from Ikea, but of poor quality, or designer furniture from Italy or Denmark - high quality, but very expensive. Most of my clients for whom I designed interiors were not very wealthy people, just with an average wallet. But because they wanted to decorate their interiors in an interesting way, they were very willing to use such Polish, original furniture. Polish furniture is more expensive than Ikea, of course, but it still fits into the wallet of the middle class. But they are unique because they are made of good materials. Wood, not some wood-like materials. Plywood, steel. Another great advantage of our furniture is that it is made by small companies. These are often small family companies that put a lot of emphasis on quality. They work on details, watch over the workmanship, quality. The owners themselves supervise the work or even make the furniture. They make sure that it is nice, made of good quality materials. All of these pieces of furniture are simply well-groomed and you can see that someone put a lot of love into making them.
